The poor may always have been with us, but attitudes towards them have changed. Beginning in the Neolithic Age, Ben Lewis's film takes us through the changing world of poverty. You go to sleep, you dream, you become poor through the ages. And when you awake, what can you say about poverty now? There are still very poor people, to be sure, but the new poverty has more to do with inequality...

In a ground-breaking concert, more than 14,000 music fans converged on the Sidney Myer Music Bowl to be part of this historic event, while tens of thousands more watched the concert at live sites and online around the nation.

June 14, 1940. The German Army marches into Paris. France is an occupied country. Through exclusive amateur footage, personal stories, and popular songs from the time, this fi lm recounts life with the enemy during the occupation, as seen by the French... and the Germans! Despite the Nazis and the troubled war times, day-to-day life in occupied France went on. People learnt to live with the rationing, the cues, the curfew... Many try to forget the hard times, mainly thanks to the movies in which big stars provide a little dream and lead a privileged life. These stars don't actually collaborate, butadapt and give the impression of normal life during the war. After all, is it necessarily shameful to shake the hand of an enemy?

1962 year. Cuban Missile Crisis. The world is on the brink of nuclear disaster. Khrushchev has no leverage over the stubborn commander. The only thing he could do was send someone to Cuba whom he trusted, someone who could convince Castro. This person was Anastas Mikoyan. He was accompanied on his mission by Roman Carmen, a legendary cameraman who filmed the Spanish Civil War, World War II and the Nuremberg Trials. Mikoyan's business trip lasted almost a month. Day after day, step by step, like a real psychologist, he talked with Castro and Che Guevara, listened to their calls to "die beautifully" and destroy the enemy with one blow, and tried to persuade Cuba to compromise to save the world. This film was born thanks to recently declassified documents.
